My Baby's Growing Up!!

She's losing her teeth!! I was just thinking today, "I should write a blog entry, documenting the fact that Bear has a loost tooth" and had said to Bear, "I bet that if it doesn't fall out before we go on our trip, it'll fall out while we're gone!" Then, while she was having F.O.F*, she comes running out of her room and says "MY TOOTH FELL OUT!!!!"

So I immediately took this picture:

because, really, who can resist all that blood?

She's so proud she can hardly stand it! Tonight the Tooth Momma will come. We don't really "do" the tooth fairy as a real person, but we wanted her to reap the benefit of getting money for her lost teeth! She knows it's us! Hmmm, I'd better check and see what the going rate for a First Lost Tooth is!

Ani was so excited when she lost her first tooth. We are cheap. We only give a dime a tooth. It works because Ani love's the Berenstain Bear's Visit the Dentist book and Sister Bear gets a dime for her tooth in the book.

Congratulations to her!! How exciting! I remember the first time Madison lost a tooth...I sprinkled glitter all around her bed and room like fairy dust. She was so excited. Our kids get $1.00 for each tooth. Our neighbor next door, however, gets $10.00 or more!! This last time, he got a silver tooth fairy coin that his mom spent $50.00 on!!! They are going to be broke by the time all of his teeth come out!!! I try to avoid mine hearing what he got for fear that they will wonder why they don't get that :0.
Anyway, it is all in fun...how exciting!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, she got $3 because that seemed like a good amount. I thought about leaving $5 and chalking it up to it being her first lost tooth, but then decided that $5 was too much and $3 seemed like a good compromise. She was thrilled and we promptly went to the dollar store so she could get THREE THINGS!!
